Rambøll has prepared a zoning plan for the county road between Otrøya and Gossen on behalf of the road company Kjerringsundet AS. The road is connected to the ferry-free E39 project Vik – Julbøen (E39 Romsdalsfjorden), which is being planned at the same time. When both roads are completed, the islands of Gossen and Otrøya will be connected to the mainland via the Julsund bridge to Julbøen in Molde and via an undersea tunnel to Vik in Vestnes municipality.
Multidisciplinary Rambøll effort
In the work on the zoning plan, Ramboll has been responsible for project management, road planning, the preliminary projects for the bridges, ground surveys that included drilling at sea and environmental mapping. Rambøll's Visualization team in Kristiansand has been responsible for visualizing the project. Among other things, a video of the project has been produced.
